Grades Report

The grades report is available when looking at examinations, targets, mocks and assessments and is also available when using the pupil tracker.

It will give you the data you need for every department in your school. The ABC tab shows mainly GCSE results, the DMP tab shows results for examinations such as OCR nationals and BTECs which are graded distinction, merit, pass etc and the 123 tab shows results for examinations such as entry-level and language ladders.

Using simple colour coding the relative performance of each subject can be quickly compared and the grades can be expressed as either pupil numbers or percentages. In addition, the report can be easily viewed in a graphical format if desired.

It is also extremely easy to drill down and get detailed results for each subject, either as a student list or at class level.

Members of the SLT can easily analyse the results of subjects which they line manage.

All of this makes the grades report extremely useful to members of the SLT, middle managers and class teachers. For example, members of the SLT can easily analyse the results of subjects which they line manage, middle managers can quickly get a list of all the students taking a particular subject and then filter this to show those obtaining a particular grade and class teachers can do the same thing for their individual classes.

Particularly useful is the ability, when looking at assessments, to switch between any of the four data sets which have been selected for publishing by the school’s administrator.

In addition, by using the appropriate filters, the results for selected groups of students can be easily obtained and results can also be compared to targets. The latter feature allows underachievement to be quickly spotted, allowing suitable intervention to be put in place as soon as possible.

The grades report has many more uses which are described in detail in the user guide on the SISRA home page. Essentially, it allows results to be analysed at subject and class level quickly and easily in a variety of different ways. This will save staff a great deal of time, freeing them up to get on with their most important job-improving the results of the students they teach!
