Q. What is SISRA Online?
A. SISRA is a secure online application which allows you to interactively analyse Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 performance at school, subject, class and student level.
Q. What does SISRA stand for?
A. Service (for) Improved Schools Results Analysis.
Q. Can SISRA calculate the English Baccalaureate figure for my school?
A. Yes. All common headline and summary figures are easily available within the reports. This includes the English Baccalaureate figure which we added in very quickly after the publication of the Education Secretary's White Paper.
Q. What is available in the analyses?
A. Probably too much to mention here but all reports can be filtered by Gender, Ethnic Code, SEN Code, Free School Meals, Gifted/Talented, CIC, KS2 Levels & any number of Focus Groups. An online demo is the best way to see all functionality.
Q. Can we compare performance to targets?
A. Yes. Key Stage 3 assessments and Key Stage 4 & 5 exams, mocks and assessments can all be compared to targets within SISRA Online.
Q. Do we need to install anything at our school?
A. No. SISRA online is a web-based application. All you need is internet access.
Q. Do we need to manually input our student data onto your system?
A. No. We don’t believe in forcing you to duplicate work. You already have all the data we need within your school computer systems and so you can simply upload your student data as a CSV file via Excel.
Q. Which key stages does SISRA cover?
A. SISRA allows full analysis of Key Stage 3 levels as well as Key Stage 4 & 5 grades.
Q. Can we analyse key stage 4 qualifications other than GCSEs?
A. Yes, SISRA allows you to analyse ALL Key Stage 4 Results including OCR Nationals, GNVQ, ALAN, BTEC and many more! As far as we know, there is NOTHING it can't analyse!
Q. Can other schools see our data?
A. No. You are provided with secure usernames and passwords that are only able to access your school’s data.
Q. Is SISRA secure?
A. Yes, we use encryption provided by GlobalSign EV SSL certificates to ensure maximum protection for your data.
Q. How many users can we have?
A. You may have as many users as you wish. We actively encourage you to add every single teacher as a user so that they may easily analyse performance at their leisure. The amount of users has NO IMPACT on the cost of the service.
Q. Do we need to be at school in order to use SISRA?
A. No. As SISRA is a web-based service, it can be easily accessed from any computer that is connected to the internet.
Q. How do you get our data?
A. You upload all data directly into SISRA online. Most schools use excel as a staging post between their management system (SIMS/CMIS etc) and SISRA.
Q. Does this system include national residual information?
A. We provide you with the facility to add and manage your last known National Residuals. These can be included or excluded in all the reports during analysis.
Q. How quickly can we start analysing our data?
A. As long as you follow the upload procedure, you should be able to analyse your data within minutes of upload.
Q. What does the future hold for SISRA Online?
A. We welcome suggestions from all schools as to how we can add further value to our service. As a result of this collaborative approach, we are constantly enhancing the service to meet with the increasing reporting/analyses demands of our customer base.
